An Unforgettable Stay at Hotel Amavi! We had an amazing stay at Hotel Amavi while celebrating my 40th birthday with 18 friends and family! The property was beautiful, spacious, comfortable and perfect for our group. A special thank you to Matthew, who was absolutely exceptional! From planning to departure, he was always available to assist with anything and everything we needed. Whether it was transportation, activities, reservations or last-minute requests, nothing was ever too much trouble. His responsiveness and willingness to go above and beyond made our experience even more memorable. Amavi is perfect for a retreat, family gathering, or freind get away. You can choose to have privacy in your room, but plenty of nice spaces for whole group to gather. Quiet, safe, and great location! The staff was the cherry on top. Matt was there to answer any questions and to book reservations, tours and massages. Chef Jonathan had great food, prepared on time with a variety of menu choices, and always had a smile on his face. Uranie the cleaning lady was on top of everything and willing to help with anything, and makes the best smoothies! We hosted our first yoga retreat here and it was the perfect space!

I haven’t written a review in years, but this one deserves the attention. Hotel Amavi was the PERFECT location for my friends and I (group of 12) on a peaceful and still enjoyable retreat to Costa Rica. Matt was above and beyond our expectations and although we were only there for a short time, we will definitely be returning again soon. If you’re thinking about booking, don’t think— just do. Everything is as pictured or even better. Pura Vida!

We had friends and family all fly out to Costa Rica for our wedding. This was the BEST experience we have ever had out of the country. Matt took such good care of us that he felt like family by the end of our trip. The chef was amazing, the decorations were amazing, the attention to detail and care for us was out of this world! Amavi was the perfect place for our group to spend close to 1 week in the summer. The property is beautiful and is perfect for large groups to have some privacy while also having a large pool and bar area to share. The location is perfect, steps from the beach, a 2 min golf cart ride to the main strip, but secluded and quiet in case you’re looking to take it easy. Matthew the concierge is world class. He ties in the whole experience with his relentless commitment to service, focus on the guests’ experience, and ability to make it the most memorable and effortless vacation you’ve been on. If you’re looking into Jaco, there is no other option to consider besides Amavi!!

We had my Bachelorette Weekend Here and everyone loved Hotel Amavi! Absolutely stunning place! We all had our own bathroom and the used the rooftop to do yoga . We loved the bar and common area! Pool was clean everyone was friendly! And they helped us plan everything ! Definitely unforgettable stay. Recommend 11/10! And shoutout to Matthew for taking care of my girls and I! We all had a blast!

Hotel Amavi exceeded our expectations for the weekend! The airbnb was spacious and just as advertised, and Matthew went above and beyond has host, always responding and helping us with anything we needed throughout the weekend. This was the best Airbnb I’ve ever stayed in. From weeks before our trip until we left Costa Rica, Matt, the concierge, was incredibly communicative, proactive, and helpful. He met us on arrival, gave us a tour, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our stay. At his recommendation, we rented golf carts (a great call), and he helped arrange excursions, a breakfast chef, security, and our detailed grocery list upon arrival. For one excursion, he connected us with a guide he considered the best in the area. We had such a great experience that we got drinks with him afterward and still keep in touch. The rooms were spacious, clean, and comfortable, with plenty of storage and individual AC units. The pool and bar area became our main gathering spot for meals, drinks, and sports. Our bachelor party included nine men, and every one of us agreed this was the best Airbnb experience we’ve had. This isn’t just a place to stay—it’s the best way to experience Jacó Beach

Honestly, this is the best Airbnb we have ever stayed in. The concierge was so responsive and helpful! The Airbnb was super clean with great amenities! It was perfect for my bachelorette. The Airbnb is beautiful! They went above and beyond with my bachelorette decor in the main bedroom. I felt like all my needs were met with above and beyond! I wish they had Airbnbs in other countries because I’d book them!

We rented Amavi for our family gathering. The place exceeded our expectations. It was the best part of our trip, having the whole space for us, relaxing by the pool, taking advantage of all the offered amenities, the beautiful rooms… Adding to that the amazing included services from security to cleaning. The ocean is one minute walk, so many nice restaurants at a walking distance and the farmers market nearby. Lastly, what makes Amavi unique is the host amazing support! We were super lucky to meet Matthew, his support answering quickly our needs, the services and activities proposed, the flexibility and responsiveness are key. We consider now having a connection whenever we are back to Costa Rica.

Our stay at hotel Amavi could not have been better. First and foremost, the concierge Matthew went above and beyond to check in on us, provide any needs and help navigate Jaco. The excursions were amazing, highly recommend the atvs and catamaran tortuga island day. The property itself is set up beautifully. I came with 12 of my friends for my graduation trip and we all loved it. The set up is perfect for large groups. Also the pool party with the dj was incredible. Anything you could ask for, Matthew and the team at amavi took care of. We Will stay here over and over and over. Truly an incredible experience all around. You should absolutely stay here if you get a chance. 10/10. 5 stars. All don’t feel enough to cover how great this was. The chef is also the phenomenal. Overall no notes!

We had an unforgettable stay in Jaco with a group of 13, and this property exceeded our expectations. The setup was perfect for a large group, with 9 separate rooms so everyone had their own space, plus great shared areas to gather. The pool and common area became our main hangout spot and were ideal for spending time together. The location couldn’t be better — just a 2-minute walk to the beach and about a 10-minute walk to downtown, making everything super convenient. We also felt very safe throughout our stay thanks to the gated property. A huge highlight was Chef Johnathan, who was friendly, easygoing, and made incredible meals — especially his legendary steak night. He handled everything from shopping to cooking to cleanup, and every meal was perfectly on time. Matt, our concierge, was hands down the best amenity. He helped with every activity, gave amazing recommendations, and even coordinated and filmed a proposal. His service truly made the trip unforgettable.

Our stay at Hotel Amavi was absolutely amazing! The location is great - 2 minute walk from the beach and there are several food spots nearby. The Air BNB itself was perfect for our family - great communal spaces and a very nice pool/kitchen. The rooms were very spacious and clean. Matt our concierge was very helpful and kind. Our family would be happy to go back!

This place is a gem. The photos don’t do this place justice. It’s great for large groups, tucked away on the residential side of town making it quiet but still close to the strip. Matt and Jessie were super responsive, made great recommendations on places to eat and things to do. They also booked us both an excursion and a private chef. Matt was there for both check in and check out and made the trip so much more memorable. When I make it back to Jaco I will be staying here again.

We had a great last minute booking in Jaco. Amavi was great for our multi generation family. Separate rooms, great pool and bar area, and plenty of seating. 150 steps away from the beach! Great walking beach and awesome waves that everyone had fun with! Definitely will recommend to family and friends.

Had an amazing stay here. The pool was incredible and made the whole experience feel like a true getaway. The service was excellent as well, very responsive and welcoming throughout our stay. Matthew made sure we were taken care of with anything we needed, from setting up our excursions and activities to having food and drinks delivered to us. The location is perfect, nice private spot right next to the beach and only a 5 minute Uber ride away from the main strip. Would definitely book again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing spot.

Amazing stay in Jacó! This property (formerly Hotel Amavi) is set up like a boutique hotel, each room has a private bed/bath with locked access, some with kitchenettes and one with a sitting area. The pool was spotless and well maintained, and the outdoor bar/kitchen area is gorgeous and perfect for hanging out (TV, speaker, fans). It’s not a traditional indoor kitchen, but we had everything we needed: grill, microwave, 2 fridges, plus microwaves in rooms. We loved having a security guard 7pm–7am—super helpful and made us feel safe. Daily cleaning was wonderful and cleaning lady was so sweet. Location is unbeatable: beach is a 2-minute walk. Concierge Mateo was amazing—answered all our questions, sent vendor info, and responded immediately when we had a brief water issue. We left so sad to go. Highly recommend!

This place is a gem, very private and just a quick 3 minute walk to the beach. The concierge/manager, Matt, was very responsive and helped with everything from restaurants, clubs, and inexpensive activities. We also had a cleaner come to clean everyday and exchange the towels.

Amavi was everything I hoped it would be. The rooms are modern and comfortable and we loved being so close to the beach. All the staff were fantastic!! Highly recommend surf lessons with Julian on site. 10/10 recommend!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Amvai Hotel this past weekend. The property exceeded our expectations in every way. Its location is perfect — just a three-minute walk to the beach and a charming beach bar where we enjoyed authentic local food and breathtaking views. From the start, Matt welcomed us warmly and went above and beyond to make our experience seamless. He helped arrange tours, organized a private dinner with Chef Jonathan, and even ensured we had groceries and beverages from local stores before and during our stay. His attentiveness made us feel right at home, and he was always just a call or text away if we needed anything. The property itself is outstanding. The bar and pool setup made us feel as though we were at an all-inclusive resort. Each of us had our own space to relax, while still feeling close enough to gather and enjoy one another’s company. One of the highlights of our trip was the dinner prepared by Chef Jonathan for our friend’s birthday celebration.

This place is BEAUTIFUL, it’s perfect for a large or a small group. The team is super quick is responding to message, I’m talking lightning quick. Any questions we had about literally anything Matthew was on it. He gave great recommendations for excursions, restaurants, you name it, he’s on top of it. We can’t thank the team enough for being such great hosts, we will def be back!

I can't describe how awesome this place is. Our concierge, Matthew communicated with me weeks before we came to Jaco to make sure we had everything we needed. He booked all of our tours for us with the best companies. Anything we needed he got for us. Whether it was groceries, food recommendations, tours, booking massages, He responded right away during our stay and got us everything we needed. A cleaning crew came everyday and all the rooms were spotless. It's two blocks from the beach with a bar/restaurant right down the street. The location felt safe - the whole place is surrounded by a fence with locks. The pool was perfect temperature. It really is the best place we could have gotten in Jaco and it's not even close. They really have everything figured out here. I will be back
